Sam Dorthe, 15, trained in alpine skiing for eight years before transitioning fully to freeride during the 2022-2023 season. After winning first place at a La Clusaz competition in 2021-2022, he realized freeride was his true passion. Now a member of the FJT competition group and ESF freeride generation under Vincent Michaud, Sam proudly ranks 5th nationally and 20th in Europe Oceania in the Freeride World Tour Junior competitions.

For the 2023-2024 season, Sam aims to compete in France and Switzerland, qualify for the 2024-2025 world championships, and create engaging video and photo content. Outside skiing, he enjoys wing foiling, surfing, and mountain biking, bringing the same energy to all his pursuits.
