SILVERPLUS® converts elemental silver into silver compounds and applies them to microstructured substrates through an innovative coating process. With a surface area of approximately 600,000 square centimeters per gram of microstructured SILVERPLUS® active ingredient, resource consumption can be reduced by a factor of 100 compared to metallic silver. In the process, an endless deposit is formed in which highly effective positive silver ions are released in the presence of moisture in very small doses (approx. ppm). Due to the triple effect mechanism of SILVERPLUS®, many odor-causing bacteria are unable to adapt to the action of the silver ions, thus helping to stop the growth of odor-causing bacteria. It is commonly used in textiles and other materials that come into contact with the human body, such as the VECTOR base layer.
Fabrics remain fresh even at low washing temperatures.
SILVERPLUS® eco-technology keeps fabrics fresh at low washing temperatures, reducing energy consumption and CO2 emissions. The technology anchors the fabric through efficient water and dry cleaning resistance without the need for added chemical binders. For example, SILVERPLUS® can permanently bond in the yarn gaps and remain fresh even after many washes, similar to the deposition of soot particles.
SILVERPLUS® protects resources and is friendly to nature.
